 i'm holding out on feeling emotional today,

because my emotions are not positive ones. 

i am disappointed

i am scared 

this was not the ending i hoped for, 

from the man who gave all of us such hope 10 years ago, 

and changed the trajectory of our nation to get to where we are today. 

honestly, the only thing i can do today is pray

and believe that God has this nation in His hand. 

He can use whoever and whatever circumstances to bring good to this country. 

so, 

onwards.

 You've been good, 27. I thoroughly enjoyed your presence. 

All the travels, experiences, concerts,

books, songs, writing, food, projects, lessons. 

And God's been good, 

all the time, & also including this past year. 

27, I shall miss you terribly. 

I'm not ready to say goodbye to you, 

but am I ever ready for anything?
