Happy New Year! 2019!

Ah. Last day of the year - how did we get here?

Tahun ini adalah salah satu tahun ter-memorable buatku. Walaupun, in retrospect, tahun-tahun lain mungkin lebih padat, tahun ini jelas lebih penuh makna.

For some reason, this year I’ve been stepping back from a lot of things. Ha! I wasn’t as active in the extracurricular activities. I haven’t been writing & reading as much. I think I’ve just been thinking & daydreaming & challenging my personal dreams whole year round.

What do I learn this year?
Hm. I don’t know. Nothing too distinct comes to mind.

Maybe I learned to stand up for myself - to actually think of & take care for myself.

Maybe I learned to never close any door, and to keep dreaming big, even when it’s not like the original plan.

Maybe I learned to be ever humbler & more empathetic. To see the positive first, before passing on judgements or criticisms.

Maybe I learned about my own voice & creative tendencies, my own unique place in the world.

I’m not sure. I have to test these ‘lessons’ again. But as always, l look back and see how much I’ve grown in 2018.

Here’s a review of (some of ) the most memorable moments of the year:
- Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” concert. My first ever!
- Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” concert. My heart exploded.
- Planetshakers Conference. With the many ‘after-parties’.
- Hillsong Worship & Creative Conference. Mind blown.
- Solo trip. I survived, ha!
- Publishing a magazine with my uni mates. Brain Freeze!
- Graduation. It’s about time!!
- Christmas at home. Honored to serve (albeit impromptu!)
- compiling my own stories into collections HAHA
-  birthday lunch at Gazi HAHA
- music team. Yihaa!
- Wrote my first 2 French essays. Voila!
- St Kilda & Melbourne CBD getaway trips. What a view!

Thank you to every single person who’ve been with me along the journey, whether for a few precious seconds or many memorable months. I treasure you all. Thank you for bringing many good things along my way. Hope I’ve done the same for you.

2019 holds many uncertainties, and for the first time in many years, I’m so nervous coming into the next year.
But I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen. It can’t be too bad, can it?

“Nowhere to go but up.”

Lovelovelove,
