Today was a heart breaking day.
They finally found what was highly suspected as the wreckage of flight QZ8501 and bodies of the victims.
On Sunday, when I first heard the news, I never took it seriously. 'It was just another plane accident,' I thought.
But as the day went by, and one day turned into two - and later three days - I am reminded that even though they are strangers to me, they are family to someone else.
Hearing stories about them and their families broke my heart. How they never saw it coming, and it just happened.
I hope the families continue to be strong, and find comfort in knowing that their loved ones are in a better place.
I am very proud of how the government, SAR team, and Air Asia team work together, efficiently and transparently. How the media continues to give a reliable information to the people of Indonesia. How the President and Vice President work hand in hand to handle the situation.
I hope tomorrow - the last day of 2014 - we will be able to learn more things about what actually happened.

December 28, 2014
Yesterday we celebrated my mum's birthday over lunch! Yay! Happy birthday mommy <3 p="">
Then off to the book store to buy some boookkkksss!!!
FINALLY!!!!
Ahaa!
Bought 2 books ^^ a kumcer (anthology?) (including a story by Illana Tan :D:D:D ) and a novel by Winna Efendi. LOVELY!
Read the first one in a few hours and I LOVE IT!
All the stories are fresh, kind of unpredictable, and generally ends with a happy ending ^^
Which is a total opposite of the next day :(
December 28, 2014 was kind of a hard day.
A plane from Surabaya that was heading to Singapore went missing.
It was a huge hit for Indonesia.
All thoughts and prayers are with them.
We hit our looww point of attendance in our youth meeting today.
From 80-90s something last week, doowwnn to 30. x_x
Well, happy holidays to those who are away,
COME BACK SOON :p:p
And later in the evening when I was finishing reading Winna Efendi's Happily Ever After, I WAS SHOCKED!
*Oke agak lebay :p; but SPOILER ALERT!!!*
It had a (somewhat) sad ending :(
Even though, yes, at the very end of the story, it ended happily, it was still a very sad book :(
BUT IT WAS A GOOD BOOK!!!
Love love love Winna Efendi's works! ^^
And yes, the day wasn't all bad..
We had a practice for a secret mission for the New Year's Eve!
LOVE hanging out with these people ^^
So yeah :)
Cheers,

Merry Christmas 2014!!
This Christmas has been soo memorable in so many different ways :')
The preparation has been crazy, and dating back to months ago.
BUT the execution of the actual events went beyond our wildest dreams :')
In our Youth's Christmas celebration around 80 people celebrated with us!
And the room setting was beyond. The lighting was beautiful, the stage was epic, and the energy was just beautiful. The decoration and the details that went into it was MIND BLOWING.
Seeing my peers just worshiping God with all their might was a beautiful sight.
We had our FIRST EVER Candle Lighting ceremony!! ^^ (I think.) :p Usually they use phosphor sticks for the candle light ceremony, but those are NOT real candles!! And so I insisted on using real candles this year. It was beautiful.
We also had a clip that showed the events that we had during the year, with some outtakes from the clips that we produced during the year. It was HILARIOUS!
Thank you to all the team that had worked so hard for this event.
Thank you for your tireless efforts!
For our church's Christmas, around 460 people came to our 2 services. Both went nicely *a bit of nerve in the 1st service, but it went smoother in the 2nd service ^^ *
The ambiance was peaceful and joyful, pretty ^^
Even though I'd like to add a few more performances into the service, it was beautiful as is.
Next year we have the chance to make it better!! :D
What has been a highlight for me this Christmas is the sense of coming home. Like coming to a full circle.
The year has gone differently than what was expected. But it's okay! Because the boundless source of JOY is still here with us, and He is guiding our every path. Even when things are not very nice, it will unfold itself to you in its time :) He is for us and He is with us!!
Have a very happy and merry Christmas, every one :)
CHEERS!

Another great, nerve-wrecking, amazing day!
The day started off with shopping with my mom ^^ hihii
I finally bought the dress I saw yesterday.
Then I went to church to finish Christmas prep!
OHHHH MMYYY!!!!
Youth's Christmas is in two days, and the Church's Christmas is only 5 days away!!!!! :D:D Can't wait!
It's gonna be awesome.
I hung out by the church until it was time for lunch. Me and a few church workers/friends went to eat the same bakso we ate yesterday x_x haha
Then we went to the mall to visit a cotton candy shop, and then stop by the famous street of 'Kauman' to buy some more equipments for Christmas. Went back to the church to do more prep, and then I went home at around 4.
But the day didn't stop there!
At 6:30pm, it was time to have Christmas dinner with my parent's cell group! A few families came together and had a really nice time with really nice food. We celebrated an anniversary, a few birthdays, we listened to a quick sharing, and prayed for friends & the iCare (cell group) leader. We also wrote down our hopes and wishes for the upcoming year and we got to tie it to a balloon with an LED light inserted in the balloon!
At the dark night sky, they looked beautiful, floating away into the heavens.
The rain closed this day, and just brought everything back to its place.
Now, time for some rest before a LONG day tomorrow!
Nighttt!!!
Cheers,

December 18, 2014
So, yesterday, as I arrive at the office, there were rumors that we were going out for lunch. WHO were these 'we'? We, the girls that were working or volunteering at the office. As a special treat for working hard to prepare things.
It turned out we went to had a bakso lunch. Quite yum! But above all, so cheap! A bowl of the 'bakso' has some noodles, rice noodles, cut up vegetables, 4 small meatballs, 2 crispy wonton, and of course some broth.
Did a LOT of Christmas thinking afterwards..
A lot to prepare with so little time, and some things started to fall apart......
Which was sad and nerve-wrecking, because you thought you could just sat that aside, but then you kind of had to went back and 'repair' whatever was lacking and going wrong.
But things are under control now..
(I think).
OKAY! MOVING ON!
Later that evening, I went dress shopping with a few fellows who needed to kill time, when they actually had a lot to do x_x hahaa (oops.....)
It was fun, but so harrrrdddd :(
A lot of trying this and that..
A lot of 'this part is good, but it feels to baggy/to small here'..
and, "Do this come in my size?"
But going back to the reason why I went dress shopping with them, was because for our Youth's Christmas celebration we are having a dress code (Which were red & green), but I have neither red nor green shirts/dress!!
But I finally found two that I like.. I didn't buy it right away, because I was going to show it first to my sister & my mom, and buy the dress with her (if she agrees to.. )
Came home quite late from that shopping.
Feeling so hungry cuz apparently one bowl of bakso is not enough for 8 hours..
Also feeling dehydrated because I don't think I drank anything since lunch... (BAD)
But so happy ^^
Cheers!

FUN FUN FUN!!
Today me and 7 other friends of mine hung out for almost 8 hours ^^
These friends from DI came this morning to Semarang..
We met at the mall, bought movie tickets then ate lunch.
We hung out until it was time for the movie!
We watched Supernova, which was amazing :p
Amazing for the girls, not so amazing for the boys :p:p
After the movie we ate some donuts and then went to get dinner at KFC ^^
Overall it was a fun day!
We got to talk a lot, laugh a lot, and just have fun :D
Then, one friend stayed over at my house.
We watched more movies, talked about stuff and slept super late :p
We woke up quite early the next day and be lazy for one more day :p
Watched super boring TV shows, and then we went to Water Blaster!
Not much was there, but it was okay. We had lunch there, went back to my house and watched half of 'The Fault in Our Stars', and then it was time to go home..
FUN day (with a lot of junk foods teheee ^^ )
cheers!

TODAY WAS AWESOME!!! :D
So, last night I stayed up super late, JUST to be able to pre-order Raditya Dika's next book: Koala Kumal. I've read (almost) all of his books, and though I sometimes find 'unnecessary' words in those books, I also find meaning and lessons there. SUCH a clever writer & artist!
Here's the thing though:
Last night, hundreds of thousands of other people were also doing the same thing as me: waiting until the clock turns 12am and quickly pre-order the book. BUT THEN (as expected) the website got loaded with people and it crashed x_x
(Even though it showed the excitement and enthusiasm of the people... still!!!)
I was crushed when I saw that the website was unable to be opened. Just like the others, I tried refreshing the page every half-a-second or so. (Which may have made it worse, maybe....)
Finally, they opened their old website for those who couldn't open the new website. I went ahead to purchase the book, BUT it turned out that I haven't made an account on the site, soooo I had to wait until they re-opened the registration page on the old website (which previously had been closed and moved to the new site).
Fortunately, after 40-50 minutes full of franticness, nerves, 'sad puppy' eyes, mini heart attacks, squeals of hopes, I FINALLY bought my copy of Koala Kumal, complete with Raditya Dika's signature! Hopefully I will also get the t-shirt! ^^ Really looking forward to reading that book.
After that I stayed up a few more minutes, before finally able to fell asleep.
I woke up super late, but feeling soooo happy.
Then off to church office to run some Christmas duties ^^
(Then a lunch of nasi capjay again :p)
Then went to a meeting,
and, the all nerve-wrecking Youth's Christmas music rehearsal.
That was the first time we got to hear all of the songs played, in a simplified version with an acoustic flare mixed in it.
I just wanted to jump and dance (and cover my ears at the same time..)
Because what happened was, they rehearsed in this smaller room, and the sound of the drum got really loud!
WORTH IT though!!
I'm just so excited to welcome Christmas, I KNOW it's going to be awesome.
Well, off to get some rest now. Let's see what other treasures tomorrow brings ^^
CHEERS!!!

Yesterday was *almost* perfect!!
The morning started out with a rain. So me and my sister decided to make some hot chocolate ^^
Accompanied by Indonesia's most famous comfort food --> indomie :p
Then we went to some places to run some errands.
First, we went to Ace Hardware store to buy some gifts. The store was beautiful!!! Christmas decoration filled the entrance, and the energy was just AMAZING. They have everything from gifts, plate sets, decorations, even a HUGE white Christmas tree ^^
Gotta love Ace hardware on Christmases.
Then we went to the bakery/gift shop to pick up some more things. We've been going to this bakery since me and my sister were so little; and the employees there never changed. So we recognized each other, and it was always fun to be there.
I stopped by the grocery store to pick up a few things, and then went back home and had lunch.
After lunch, I turned the kitchen into one messy factory. I BAKED! I made candy cane cookies
I saw this recipe on Laura Vitale's youtube channel, and fell in love with it. And because we're on the right season, I figured, why not try to make them.
They originally supposed to be red-and-white, but I couldn't find red food coloring, so I used an orange coloring-extract instead with some orange zest for extra freshness. They came out odd shaped (HA! I didn't have the patience to shape the cookies properly), but the taste was mighty fine ^^
I brought these cookies to church for some friends to try (Because I made a whole batch and they yielded so many cookies) and they loved 'em too!
Yes, I went to church yesterday, for Christmas rehearsal!
Yay!
Still need to rehearse a lot though. It's going to be a very simple service, that's why every single thing must be perfect!
But first!
Youth's Christmas is coming up, and today we had our last meeting before rehearsals and the actual Christmas. Scary, yet, thrilling. So very thrilling.
Praying that a lot of people are going to show up, AND to enjoy the event. Praying that God will touch them, and meet them face to face during these times. And hopefully the goal of our event will be met! ^^
It's going to be a FUN day,
but even before that, I got a long night ahead of me (long = 45 mins of sleepy eyes).
I'm waiting to buy Koala Kumal at (preferably) 12:00am 'tomorrow' !!
Let's see and hope for the best!
Nighty-nite y'all!
Have a loverly week ahead :)

December 12, 2014 - ASL
World!
Let me introduce you to my new fave thing to do: roam through youtube.
A-aa! Not that kind of 'roaming'.
I'm living in youtube world on a new quest: to learn ASL! ^^
Many will think of it as useless, but I think it's fun!
ASL is American Sign Language. It's different than what I though it'll be like --> the grammar is different than 'regular' English, but it's okay! I'm learning, I guess..
It began when I wondered how this song is so simple yet heart-breaking. And I realized there weren't too many words in the song. Then I stared wondering if I can learn this song with sign language. I found - to my surprise - a LOT of videos of songs made using ASL. And some even provided tutorials for their songs. But also people provide ASL lessons over the internet that is easy to follow and learn from.
So for now, before I can get my hands on decent books regarding sign languages, I'll be going over to youtube as much as possible :p
*hopefully it won't be 'once a week' x_x*
I recommend you to try! Who knows what we can do with ASL in the future :)
Cheers!

It's almost 12am and I'm still roaming the internet, fascinated by the informations we can find here!
Today I continued yesterday's 'quest' *which is to watch some episodes of Elementary and State of Affairs*
Had a delicious lunch!! *Nasi Capjay :p*
and then!!
Off to le lovely bookstore!!!
I haven't been in a bookstore searching for books in MONTHS! (i think).
And I'm soooo bored with no new books to read!
Today I got 'Monte Carlo', which belongs to the family of "Melbourne" & "Tokyo" etc.
I own 6 of the books in this series, and when I saw 2 new books of this series I was just over the moon!!
To be perfectly honest, these books were not as great as my expectations :p
The only book that I looovvee from this series is Melbourne.
But I just can't have my collection be incomplete :(
PLUS! It's kind of fun to 'visit' these countries, one at a time, and take a little peek of what a particular city looks like.
Reading Monte Carlo was a bit confusing, because the pace of the story went back and forth from being super quick to really slow. The climax of the story wasn't very clear as well *to me anyway*
The day ended with me trying to solve as much crossword as I possibly can, and then me get interested in ASL! :D
Will talk about that tomorrow!
Niittteee ^^

Today has been the exact opposite of yesterday!
No stress, no fuss! ^^
enjoying life :)
Today I caught up on some Elementary season 3, which is quite interesting with the new cast addition..
Then I watched the new episode of Castle, and old old episodes of Grey's Anatomy..
Went to piano lesson, then devour delicious Thai dinner.
Can this day be any better?
Perhaps, but not much :)
I jst have this uneasy feeling, don't know why and how to get rid off it...
Well, maybe sleep will help :)
Or maybe not, we'll see!
Nite!
Cheers,

Can this day be any better?
Perhaps, but not much :)
I jst have this uneasy feeling, don't know why and how to get rid off it...
Well, maybe sleep will help :)
Or maybe not, we'll see!
Nite!
Cheers,

December 08, 2014
It's almost 1am Tuesday, but I'm writing about 'yesterday', Dec. 08, 14.
The Day started pretty chaoticly!
Our fridge was broken and we couldn't use it to keep food, so we have to take the perishables out and cook the stuff that we can, while throwing away the food that was already spoiled.
Our water dispenser was also concerning, because the machine & water got really hot.
But the mechanic could fix them both, so yeay!! ^^
A real quick meeting/briefing @church about Kids Christmas party, some changes to the youth's plan, but it was all good :)
THEN!
Time to transform into party mode, for today we are celebrating my great grandmother's 97th birthday!!
It's family&friends gathering dinner, and I LOVE IT!
We had a photobooth right by the front door, so everybody had a chance to take a picture with this beautiful backdrop & dessert table. Several props were prepared, and people can choose whichever they want. Then, dinner started accompanied by beautiful songs by friends and families.
Dinner was delicious as well! :)
Afterwards we had a photo session with the whole family! *We even took a selfie with my great grandma even though I don't think she knew what we were doing hihi*
We stopped by her house to drop off gifts and things from the party venue later, only to discover the job did not end there!
We (me and my sister) needed to now open these gorgeous presents and write them down.
Who doesn't like opening up presents? Even when it's not theirs? I LOVE opening these presents. I love the mesiness, and the ripping off the wrapping paper hehee :p
I know each person had prepared the gift with my great grandma on their mind.
Now I'm home, at the bed, ready to doze off to dreamland,
With a very thankful heart for this very special family of mine ^^
Nite!
Cheers!

Today is a joyous day! ^^
Today we had a yum lunch with two young families who are very passionate for God and His people; It's always good to take time and sit down with this people, share a meal or two, and learn from each other :)
*Even though I mostly sit and eat. Sorry. It was so yummy.*
Today I get to witness again the baptism of a family member (to-be) :)
What's even more fun was that the event took place right on my backyard!
And the whole extended family was present, and we had such a lovely fellowship over cake and fried noodle ^^
I love my family so much. The way they support each other is just a huge blessing to witness.
THEN!
My favorite! Christmas rehearsal! ^^
And a quick Youth Christmas committee's meet-up to discuss some preparation that needs to be done.
ALSO,
today is the birthday of our youth's leader! She has been such a blessing to me, and I pray that she'll continue to receive God's wisdom in her live and bless more people :)
Of course, the famous 'butter cream' took part in making a little mess. But that's okay :D
Today has surprisingly been an 'okay' day! I mean, it's not super tiring as per usual!
But still,
it's time to have dinner, scrub clean, and climb to bed.
Night-night!
Cheers,

Today,
we invited some people to our church. The families whose kids' studies are sponsored by our church.
We made an early Christmas celebration for them, which is touching.
But it also reminded me of all the things that needs to be done before Christmas can actually come.
Oh boy..
Every time I think of it, I get mini anxiety-attacks x_x
but nevertheless, still very eager to celebrate Christmas!!
Now,
off to bed.
Oh, and I've got some ideas for New Year's Eve too ^^
Cheers!

It's 10:30pm, and I just got home from the Church.
There are still some people there, finishing Christmas preparation.
Hopefully they'll get a chance to go home and get some rest tonight, before motoring on again tomorrow..
Earlier today,
I watched two clips being brought to live, both to support our Christmas celebrations :)
This year's Christmas Celebrations will be very simple, clean, straightforward,
but hopefully very uplifting and touching.
At the end it's not about the gifts, and festivity, and the show,
it's about celebrating Jesus! That's all that matters.
Cheers!

(This super short post is supported by sleepyheadedness and tiredness. Nighty-nite!)

I can't believe I didn't write anything these 2 days! x_x
These past couple of days have been hectic, as we prepare for Christmas.
Literally, my brain could NOT stop working!! x_x
BUT!
It's not all work. I mean, come on! If we have one month to be happy and enjoy our lives to the max, this is it!
Yesterday I was engaging in a movie marathon. Starting with Now You See Me (my new addition to 'fave movies list!!), Thor 2: The Dark World (FABULOUS.); several random TV series; even Mary Poppins (Because, why not?)
Today,
I went to the cinema with my sister and watched Mockingjay part 1. It was good!
Better than what people are describing. The plot is quite intense, and is supported by amazing acting by the actors/actresses. But I think if you are not following the first and second Hunger Games movie, you will be completely lost! Although book lovers will LOVE this movie, because (mostly) it stays so true to the book!
It's very rare for a movie adaptation to be anything like the book, but Catching Fire and Mockingjay part 1 are satisfactory. Though, yes, you will still need to read the book to enjoy the real thrill of the world of Hunger Games.
Accompanied by half a portion of caramel popcorn, one bottled water, and later a cup of hot starbucks drink, today couldn't have gone any better ^^
Cheers!

The first day of December is finally here, and I'm so excited!
Things aren't as frantic as last year, which is always a good thing,
but things are as challenging and as exciting!
Plans are already made, or are being made to really intensify the joy and spirit of Christmas,
but the reason stays the same!
We are celebrating the JOY of the Good News, we are celebrating the most important person in our lives, the Savior!
It really is an honor, and it's just a really fun time of the year.
That aside, I noticed how little I wrote this year x_x
So! I'm trying to write EVERYDAY for these 31 days towards the New Year.
No promises, but I'll try to remember to write something everyday.
November had been an amazing month, but I just can't contain my excitement now that December is here!
Christmas, see you soon my friend!
Cheers!
